Like most of us hopeless carfools, I love great barnfind cars and stories. So I decided it was time to publish my own compendium of them. My friend Tom Cotter really identified the genre with his successful “…in the Barn” series of books, and publishing vets Jerry Heasley and Wally Wyss have also done very well with them.
In order to set my book apart from the others, I decided to focus on the fast and sexy stuff: Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, and such, plus a few great Shelbys. In other words, no ’46 Plymouths in here. Not that I have anything against ’46 Plymouths, but exotic they are not. Another goal here is to share fresh stories that hopefully you’ve not read a dozen other places. And these cars, stories, and photos come from all over the world.
The large format, softbound, all color Exotic Barnfinds will be published by CarTech Books, at a bargain retail price of $24.95, and you can buy it publisher direct from them, as larger bookstores like Barnes and Noble, or on Amazon. It’ll be available this October, and here’s the rest of the scoop:
