You know I’m a sucker for a great car show, especially when it raises money for a worthy charity or cause.
One such event upcoming is the 4th Annual Bendict Castle Concours on Sunday March 26, 2017 in Riverside California, to benefit Teen Challenge.
I remember Teen Challenge from when I was in high school; it is a faith-based rehab and life change program aimed at teenagers who have gotten off on the wrong side of drugs, drinking or other destructive substance abuses. Its success rate is astounding so a worthy endeavor that needs support, to be sure.
The show’s prime mover is Nichole Meguiar Northcote, she the daughter of Karen and Barry Meguiar of the car company of the same name. Nichole is a smart, attractive, well spoken woman who freely admits she got onto the wrong path as a kid, and claims without question that Teen Challenge saved her life in every sense of the terms.
I’m told this is a great location and a wonderful event. My pal Ed “Isky” Iskenderian, the Camfather, was grand marshall a few years back, and the show has also been featured on Wayne Carini’s Chasing Classic Cars TV program.
